David Marcus is the Co-founder and CEO of Lightspark, a company building infrastructure for the open internet using Bitcoin’s Lightning Network. Previously, he served as the President of PayPal, where he helped scale the platform globally, and later led Meta’s ambitious efforts in crypto and financial services, including the Novi digital wallet and the Diem stablecoin project.
David’s journey as a founder began with Zong, a mobile payments company that was acquired by PayPal in 2011. Throughout his career, he has been at the forefront of redefining digital commerce, payments, and financial access on a global scale.
Today, through Lightspark, David is focused on the future of open, fast, and accessible money movement. He’s passionate about building infrastructure that empowers innovation, increases economic freedom, and connects people across borders.
Oren Zeev
Founding Partner, Zeev Ventures
Oren Zeev is the Founding Partner of Zeev Ventures and one of the most prolific solo venture capitalists in Silicon Valley. Known for his hands-on, high-conviction approach, Oren has backed and built some of the most successful startups of the past two decades — including Audible (acquired by Amazon), Houzz, TripActions (now Navan), Next Insurance, and Tipalti.
Oren began his career at IBM Research before becoming a Partner at Apax Partners, where he led tech investments out of their Silicon Valley office. In 2007, he launched Zeev Ventures with a vision to invest independently and selectively, often co-founding or deeply embedding himself in the companies he supports.
Beyond his investment success, Oren is admired for his strategic clarity, long-term mindset, and deep trust in founders. He also serves as the Co-Chair of ICON, helping strengthen the bridge between the Israeli and Silicon Valley tech ecosystems.
